A restaurant-style steak with a crispy garlic and herb crust, seared to a perfect golden brown. One spray of Spritz Original gets the pan screaming hot for a great sear without flooding it with oil.

Ingredients
- Spritz Original cooking spray
- 2 beef steaks (about 250 g each)
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon coarse salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon chilli flakes (optional)
Method
- Pat the steaks completely dry, then rub them with the salt, pepper, and chilli flakes.
- Spray a heavy pan with one light spray of Spritz Original and heat it until very hot.
- Sear the steaks for 3 to 4 minutes per side for medium, without moving them, to build a crust.
- Lower the heat, give a quick spray of Spritz Original, and add the garlic and herbs around the steaks.
- Spoon the garlicky herbs over the steaks for 1 minute so the flavour coats them.
- Rest the steaks for 5 minutes before slicing, then serve with the crispy garlic and herbs on top.
Cooked lighter with Spritz Original - one fine spray instead of pouring oil.
